Q

Cobra
- What do you like
most about racing?
Corey
- I enjoy playing with all of my friends that I've met through the years at the track.”
Cobra - Tell
us how you train for motocross?
Corey
- I race year around most every weekend. I use the local/regional tracks as practice/training for the National races. I also practice on my track at home as much as possible. I try to stay in shape by competing in other sports during the year.”
Cobra

most about your Cobra motorcycle?
Corey-
“It's fast!”
Cobra - What’s
your favorite race?
Corey
- “Loretta Lynn's Dirt Days.”
Cobra - Who’s
your all-time favorite racer? Corey
- “John Natalie.”
Q
and A with John (Corey's Dad)
Cobra
- How did you
and your son get involved in racing motocross?
John
- “Corey was interested in anything motorized at a very young age. At the age of 2, we were racing in a county fair in another event and found that they raced 4-wheelers there as well. They had a youth 4-wheeler class so we signed Corey up for the 50cc class on his KFX50. He loved it and couldn’t wait for the next race!”
Cobra - When
did you realize your son was ready for competition
at the national level?
John
- “Some friends of ours convinced us to attend our first national race and Corey won. We went to the rest of races for the series that year and he won all of them for the National title in the 0-50 Jr class. After that we were hooked. He has now been competing nationally for four years.”
Cobra - What
advice would you give a new Cobra family that wants
to get the most out of racing?
John
- “HAVE FUN! We treat it as a family vacation. We try to leave a few extra days to stop at the beach, site see, attend amusement parks, etc. The time spent on the track is just a small part of the overall motocross experience. We have so much fun before and after the races just hanging out in the pits with other families around camp fires, swimming in the creeks, having picnics, watersliding (hill billy style: tall hill, a tarp, a little soap and water...). As for the racing itself, be willing to win and lose. Encourage your child to do the best that they can and congratulate them on the results.”
Cobra
- Why did you decide
on the Cobra brand of motorcycle and not another
brand?
John
- “Cobra is the only race-worthy mini-quad on the market. The rest are just “yard bikes” with lots of $$$$/after-market equipment attached.”
Cobra - What
are your best tips on keeping your Cobra running
in top shape? John
- “PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE: think simple. Tighten nuts and bolts, keep your air filter clean, maintain your clutch/change your clutch fluid frequently.”
